| The Fire Department recently visited Eastern Elementary Middle School to discuss fire safety and conduct a fire drill. This year, the School Resource Officer, who was previously a professional firefighter in Roanoke County, provided fire safety tips and explained the turnout gear used by firefighters.
During the visit, the fire department distributed safety materials and held a fire drill to ensure students could exit the building quickly and safely.
Both the students and teachers followed procedures effectively and were rewarded with ice cream for their participation. |
